The Twice Exceptional Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to dismantling the systemic barriers that prevent students with language-based learning disorders from achieving their full potential. We recognize that traditional public education often fails to provide the comprehensive support needed for these students, relying on a one-size-fits-all approach that overlooks the complexity of their learning needs. Our mission is to address these inequities by developing and promoting targeted, evidence-based interventions that prioritize individualized learning and provide the tools necessary to overcome these challenges.
We tackle systemic barriers by advocating for a shift from inadequate, generalized educational models to precise, research-driven practices that accurately diagnose and support each student’s unique learning profile. Our initiatives include creating an app-based evaluation and intervention tool, providing specialized certification programs for educators, and establishing learning centers that deliver effective, personalized support. We focus on expanding access to high-quality interventions for students from underserved communities who are disproportionately affected by educational disparities and lack the resources to obtain necessary services.
At the Twice Exceptional Foundation, we believe that equity in education is a right, not a privilege. Through our work, we strive to ensure that all students—regardless of socioeconomic status or learning challenges—receive the specialized support they need to succeed, transforming the education system to better serve every learner and close the opportunity gap for future generations.
